Midfielder’s daughters sad to see him leave for Olympics

Twin daughters of Super Eagles midfielder, John Obi Mikel were very sad to see him leave for the United States where he is joining the Dream Team ahead of the Rio 2016.

Mikel Obi is expected to lead Nigeria’s U-23 at the football event of the 2016 Olympic Games after he made the final list.

The midfielder who is one of the over-aged players in the Dream Team left Chelsea’s pre-season camp in Austria to join up with the Nigerian football team in Atlanta.
 
His twin daughters, Mia and Ava were however unhappy as he packed his bag ready to leave for the United States. Mikel’s partner, Olga Diyachenko shared a photo of one of the twins chasing after her dad who was already packed for his trip. “Dada don't leave!!!” Olga captions the photo.
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) after revealed that the midfielder had arrived at the Dream Team camp.
 
Before his trip, Mikel took to Instagram to expressed his enthusiasm ahead of the Olympic
First part of Chelsea pre-season done. Off to Atlanta to join the Nigeria team for the Olympics 2016 #OlympicsBrazil,” he writes on Instagram.

Super Eagles defender, William Troost-Ekong has also joined up with the Dream Team squad.
